FAQ’s about Eight Five Gym training

What is one-to-one personal strength and conditioning training?

One-to-one personal strength and conditioning training is a specialized fitness program designed to provide individualized attention and coaching to help you achieve your specific fitness goals. A qualified trainer works closely with you, tailoring the workouts to your needs and providing guidance on strength training, conditioning exercises, and overall fitness improvement.

How is one-to-one training different from group training?

One-to-one training focuses exclusively on you and your goals, providing a highly personalized approach. Unlike group training sessions, where the workouts are designed for a general audience, one-to-one training is tailored to your body type, fitness level, and goals. It allows for greater attention to form, technique, and individual progress.

What are the benefits of one-to-one personal training?

The benefits of one-to-one personal training include personalized attention, customized workout plans, faster and more efficient progress, reduced risk of injury, increased accountability, and motivation. I can adapt the program as needed, track your progress closely, and provide continuous support to help you achieve optimal results.

How do I get started with one-to-one personal training?

To get started, simply contact me to schedule an initial free consultation. During the consultation, we’ll discuss your fitness goals, medical history, and any specific concerns. Based on this information, I will develop a tailored training program to suit your needs. You can then schedule your training sessions.

How long are the training sessions?

The duration of training sessions typically varies based on your preferences and availability. Generally, I allow an hour for each session booked. The actual workouts are completed in around 30 minutes. Time is set aside to review your session and address any queries.

What should I bring to my training sessions?

Wear whatever you are comfortable training in, although it will be helpful if I can observe your joints during each exercise. Some drinking water will be required.

How often should I attend one-to-one training sessions?

The training sessions, whilst brief, can be infrequent. I do not recommend training more than twice per week. Training only once weekly is fine and will give ample time for recovery between sessions.

What if I have a pre-existing injury or medical condition?

If you have a pre-existing injury or medical condition, you should obtain medical clearance before training with me. There are numerous approaches we can take to train around injuries.
